Gullivers Lake Courses

General information

Gulliver’s Lake is a small lake. The park is doing an exceptional job at maintaining everything looking really great. The venue is absolutely safe, water temperatures are usually over 20 C in August and wetsuits are optional.

How to get there:

Just copy and paste the below link and that will do the trick to find out exactly what you need to do to arrive to this marvellous place:,+Millgrove,+ON+L0R+1V0,+Canada/@43.3614544,-80.0242658,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x882b7e1ae0399a1f:0x534adf7a81da1fd9

Long distances:

One loop around the lake is exactly 1 km. So for the 5 km it will be 5 loops and 10 loops for the 10 km.

Along the one side of the lake there are 4 rafts. They can be used by coaches or assistants to supply water and nutrition to swimmers if they wish to use this method.

We will also have a small chute at the beach just beside the start and finish with tables: about 8 meters where swimmers can leave their own water and food. On each loop swimmers will have to get out of the water and run around those 8 to 10 meters to check with officials. As they get out of the water they can be self sufficient to hydrate and get food themselves and jump in the water immediately.

Short distances:

There will be visible buoys marking a 200m diamond off the beach on the south side of the lake.

The 200 will be one loop around, the 400 is 2 loops and the 800 will be 4 loops or one for each relay member.

The 1500 will be a different course set up on its own.

GSS Member badge 2016

The 1500, the 5 and 10 km are GSS point races.

Relays do not count for points.

This is one more race of the Global Swim Series season!

GSS is dedicated to growing the global open water swimming
community by bringing races together on a regional and global scale.

GSS system gives 50% of the points for participation and 50% for placing, encouraging swimmers
of all levels in every category.
Swimmers get points and get ranked globally, by region and by country off total accumulated point scores.
After the last race of the season the top swimmer in each of the 4 Categories will be crowned Global Champion.
The top age group swimmers will also be recognized.

There are 25 races in Ireland,
Mexico, United States, Brazil,
Barbados and Canada but interest is growing and more are added every month.
We hope to see you there!

Lets all have a great experience in the open water
