The best opportunity you have to learn and enjoy open water swimming in a safe and friendly environment.
We have been working hard to organize a great open water swimming event.
We have a few surprises this year and we really hope that you will enjoy.
However without participants all this is not important. We want to encourage you and your teammates, club friends and training partners to come to our event and to spread the word where you can.
Our Swimfest will take place on Sunday, July 31st at Gulliver’s Lake in Hamilton.
As last year, Embrace Open Water Swimfest is a multi events, open water swimming race. We want to grow this race to make it the biggest, most fun and exciting open water race in Ontario.
Participants raved about our event in 2015!
This year, there are distances for everyone: 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters,1500 meters, and a 5 km and 10 km (individual or relay).
So… you think you can’t swim 5 Km? No problem! You can always bring friends to do a relay. Even for a sprint swim, we will have a 4×200 relays.
In between the races, we will have SUP races, demonstrations from Pentathlon Ontario and the Guelph Marlins lifesaving team.
Guillver’s Lake offers a clean, safe environment for new athletes to try out their open water skills, the short distances are designed to boost confidence for everyone. Seasoned athletes can put their hard work to the test or just come to have a day of fun in the water.
